A Drink or a Date? (kiley) « Thread Started on Jun 27, 2006, 1:31am »
Alavair followed Kiley down the cobblestone road in silence. It seemed as if they would never reach a pub, so Alavair waved ihs wand in the air and hailled the Knight bus. He payed the man at the door for both of them, and then they were whisked away towards the Hog's Head. When their little bus ride ended, Alavair stepped off, now throughly thirsty. Alavair opened the door for Kiley, and after she had entered he slammed it behind him, effectively drawing the attention of the barkeep, and owner of this peice of trash called a bar.
"I want a firewhiskey."
It came out of Alavair's mouth before the fat barkeep could speak about the door, and Alavair was quick to show a small badge that adorned his chest, a mark of the Draconian school. The fat bartender moved to get the drink, and Alavair took a seat at the nearest empty table.

Kiley stood silent on the rather sickening bus ride to where ever they were going. Seeing the Hog's Head, she arched a brow slightly but didn't say anything. She allowed herself into the excuse for a bar, her eyes scanning the people that now were focused on her and Alavair. Her hood was still low, causing people to look at her but look back away quickly. Sitting at the chosen table with Alavair, she leaned on her arms, not caring to take her hood off. "Scotch on the rocks." she called out, not looking over to the tender. She intertwined her still gloved hands in front of her, watching the small crowds of people that grew awkwardly silent since their arrival. They watched both students out of the corner of their eyes, tension could be seen within all of them. Kiley's gaze met Alavair, her eyes wandering his face before focuson on his eyes.

Alavair noticed that one of the patrons, a particuarly ugly man of around thirty years of age, had bvegun eyeing both himself and Kiley. most likely deciding if they were worth being mugged. Alavair stood, his wand slowly sliding from down his sleeve of his jacket. With one fluid movement he had struck the man with a crushing right hook, and then instantly brought his wand up to the man's temple.
"I will politely ask you to stop staring at us. This is your one warning."
After speaking, alavair grabbed the back of the man's chair, throwing it backwards with the man still in it. A slight smirk danced it's way onto his lips, and he moved to sit back down. He stole a glance to the bar tender, and then gave him a violently suggestive look.
"I don't have my drink yet.. I see that you don't either kiley.. what horrid service."
Alavair made sure the bar tender could hear him, and then looked back to Kiley. He gave her a faint smile, and then he noticed that their drinks were arriving.

Kiley's eyes followed Alavair with every movement he made, brow arching as the man toppled over with a grunt. Her gaze followed Alavair's to the tender, who's eyes were very wide. Their drinks came over with a shaky hand, and the tender didn't stay very long at all. Kiley took another glance at the man that was on the floor, who was getting up gingerly. He cleared his throat nervously, muttering something that sounded like 'my apologizes, sir and misses'. The man took his coat and left hastily. Kiley had a rather satisfied smirk on her face as Alavair sat down again. "I can't imagine how that would have been for an old hag." she muttered with a cold chuckle, taking a sip of her drink. She closed her eyes breifly as the cold liqour made its way down her dry throat. Looking back to her company, she tilted her head slightly. "So, what brought you to Draconian?" she finally asked, tired of focusing on the people around them.
